Federally funded Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) benefits have been extended by one year for unemployed workers who are currently collecting federal jobless benefits. The benefits will be available through the week ending December 28, 2013. This changed the previous expiration date of December 29, 2012. The extension was approved by Congress and signed into law by President Obama on January 2, 2013.
